training update.

Maple and I have been to obedience training since we got past the basic course. We are getting there. She is a very smart dog who wants to please yet she hates dropping and breaks after a short period of time. I need to work on that with her.

Training update.

This week at training we had a new trainer who does working dogs. The dogs seemed to realize that they were not going to get away with anything. Maple was pooped when she got home.

With the house cooling off in the evening we are giving Maple a blanket on her in her crate. but both dogs are up just before 6 am.

MRCCR founding Meeting 13 June 10 - Seymour Vic

There are a few of us who are trying to form an MRCCR Association for the preservation of the Murray River Curly Coated Retreiver.

It is mainly to, initially, form a commitee and get official recognition for our beloved dogs. We would like to build up a register of breeders, minimising unintentional in-breeding, and also to build a reliable network for the rescue of any MRCCR's that end up in pounds or other untenable circumstances.

The association's founding meeting is this Sunday in Seymour, Victoria. We would love to see as many people there as we can to help with establishing the ideals/rules the club should be adopting.
location Goulburn Park Seymour, there is a caravan park right there for those wanting to stay over

Meeting starts 12 noon

Thanks,
